So we dropped Jarrett off on Wednesday Nov. 19. Marta and Melayna and Brian joined us in saying farewell. Jarrett was very anxious to "get going".
We have received our first letter, it was written on the first night. He said they keep the MTC VERY HOT. He was called to be a District Leader that first night. He sounded good. Kailee went to get the mail and was so excited as she opened it, she ripped the envelope in half.
We have also received our first e-mail. He sounds busy and happy. He did say he is very grateful for having a testimony before entering the MTC. He said some Elders are trying to find theirs.
We miss him very much. The downstairs is so empty. That's where is was all the time, either in his room asleep, or down playing x box 360. I need to go in his room and pack things away...maybe in a week or two.

Jarrett has received his mission call. He is going to Des Moines Iowa! He leaves Nov. 19. Which so happens to be the week before Thanksgiving. JT left exactly the same time. He said that Thanksgiving in the MTC wasn't that bad. Good thing is that in two years he will be coming home right before Thanksgiving!! We are so excited!! I can not lie though I am a bit sorrowful knowing that he is my last, my baby boy. I will miss him intensely. A really cool thing though is that his mission President was my mom and dad's bishop and Jarrett has my Dad's name(his middle name is Eldon). I think my parents are watching. I miss them so, I wanted to call me mom all Saturday and tell her, this is the first mission call she has not been around for. So to quote a line from "Field of Dreams", which is in Iowa, "If you build it they(Jarrett) will come".

Wade and I went on a 4 day cruise off the California coast. The first day we went to San Diego and we went to a session at the temple. It was awesome. Then we just went back to the boat and hung out. The second day was at Catalina, it was beautiful, we went on a glass bottom boat. I was a little disappointed Doris Day wasn't there. The third stop was at Encinada. We signed up to go to a beach party, no Frankie Vally, I was worried everyone would be just totally drunk. But I pleasantly surprised only a few got totally drunk. We had a riot, I even got Wade to play beach volleyball. The cruise was a HUGE ego trip for Wade cause he played horse and won and totally dominated at beach volleyball. Not bad for an old man.

Getting started

Hello Family and friends. I am now entering the blogging world. I hope to keep in touch with everyone. The summer is over and Cory is back in California ready for school. Jarrett is done with school, for a while, and is back home. He is getting his mission papers in, he only needs his final interviews, we hope he goes soon and stays in the states. We'll see?!?!?
Dad is working in Bear Lake and so is gone for most of the week. He did come to Lake Powell this year, and he had a wonderful time. Though the house boat spoiled us, we are not sure we ever want to go back with out one.
Kailee and I starting a new world of homeschooling. We have named the school G.O.N.E.- Girls Only Neutral Education. We have just finished the placement tests and are waiting for the curriculum to arrive.
JT and Marta have just purchased a home in Pleasant Grove and will be moving in next week. I am so excited for them, on the ground floor, yeah.
Brian and Danny are both working with Wade and Barry they are trying hard to get this faux rock company off and running. So much work and so little time.
